Steps

Adjust the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease and dust an 8-inch square baking pan with flour.

Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup of cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread the batter into a prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven until the top is dry and the edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool briefly before frosting.

To make the frosting, combine softened butter, confectioners' sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl and stir until smooth. Frost the brownies while they are still warm.
